Life Coach, Presenter, Facilitator, Educator, Entrepreneur, Life-long Learner
Those who know me would describe me as an an advocate, an educator, a traveler, an adventurer, an arts lover, a history lover, a food lover, an empath, a giver, an inspirer, a truth teller, a mediator, a connector, a wife, a mother, a friend, a teacher, an advisor, and a coach.
My world has always revolved around helping others. I taught high school for 16+ years, served on multiple committees which improved school/work culture, promoted professional development and supported at-risk students academically and emotionally.
Teaching was my purpose: it allowed me the gift of being a part of people’s growth & development. I got to nurture kids through their tumultuous teens, provide a safe place for lost souls, challenge them to take risks and try new things and practice growth mindsets.
However, when I had my own child, I decided it was time to make a career shift and made the choice to transition these passions into a Coaching career. After an intense year juggling my studies with my practicum hours AND my newborn, I was ready to begin my new life’s path.
I understand TRANSITION.
I have survived the angst of leaving a dependable career I excelled at AND loved to pursue the unknown and I am thoroughly excited to be navigating this new journey.
I understand flux, I understand office politics, I understand clashing personalities and difficult conversations.
I understand the effects of bullying & anxiety, both as a teacher looking in and a kid who moved a lot and was bullied at multiple schools. The impact is immense.
However, I also how resiliency can change the course of your life.
I understand that all learning styles are different but that we are ALL capable of rising up when challenged and supported.
I understand that each person has something of value to contribute but that sometimes they aren’t quite sure what that may be.
I understand that everyone struggles in their lifetime and that everyone benefits from having someone to walk along side them.
If any of this resonates with you then let's connect.
We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.
